Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20 - 80% Lean)
- 4 slices American Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 2 teaspoons Onion Powder
- 1 Tomato, sliced thin
- 1 Large Dill Pickle, sliced thin
- 1 Large Onion, sliced thin
- 1 Head Lettuce (shredded preferred)
- 4 Burger Buns (toasted)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, gently mix ground beef, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Do not overwork the meat.
- Divide into 4 equal parts and form patties. Press your thumb into the center of each to help prevent shrinkage.
- Preheat grill or skillet on high. Cook patties 2–3 minutes per side until a nice crust forms.
- Flip, cook 1–2 more minutes, then add a slice of American cheese on top. Cook to desired doneness.
- Let patties rest for 8 minutes after cooking.
- Assemble with toasted buns and toppings: tomato, pickle, onion, shredded lettuce. Enjoy!
