  1. In a stand mixer, combine flour, 1 tsp sugar, salt, yeast, olive oil, and warm water. Mix until elastic, about 10 minutes.
  2. Adjust dough moisture with flour or water as needed. Let rise in an oiled bowl for 1 hour until doubled.
  3. Meanwhile, simmer tomato sauce with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and remaining sugar for 20 minutes. Let cool.
  4. Preheat oven to 500°F. Shape dough into 12" round pizza base, thickening crust edge.
  5. Place on oiled pizza pan. Add a few tbsp of sauce and spread from center outward.
  6. Pre-bake for 8-10 minutes until sauce darkens and thickens.
  7. Remove from oven. Add mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Brush crust with olive oil.
  8. Return to oven and bake another 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
