Ingredients
- 3 1⁄2 cups Flour (All Purpose or Bread Flour)
- 3 teaspoons Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Kosher Salt
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 package Rapid Rise Instant Yeast
- 1 1⁄2 cups Warm Water (105-110°F)
- 15 ounces Tomato Sauce
- 3 tablespoons Italian Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- Mozzarella Cheese (to taste)
- Parmesan Cheese (to taste)
Instructions
- In a stand mixer, combine flour, 1 tsp sugar, salt, yeast, olive oil, and warm water. Mix until elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Adjust dough moisture with flour or water as needed. Let rise in an oiled bowl for 1 hour until doubled.
- Meanwhile, simmer tomato sauce with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and remaining sugar for 20 minutes. Let cool.
- Preheat oven to 500°F. Shape dough into 12" round pizza base, thickening crust edge.
- Place on oiled pizza pan. Add a few tbsp of sauce and spread from center outward.
- Pre-bake for 8-10 minutes until sauce darkens and thickens.
- Remove from oven. Add mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Brush crust with olive oil.
- Return to oven and bake another 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
